Israeli Show 'From the Other Side with Guy Zohar' Returns with AI Fake News Detector for Elections

The Israeli current affairs program "From the Other Side with Guy Zohar" is returning to Kan 11 and Kan BOX ahead of the upcoming elections. The new season will feature a revamped studio, new segments, and a pioneering artificial intelligence service that allows viewers to verify the authenticity of suspicious images and videos. The show will air nightly after "Night News" and focus heavily on the election campaign, fact-checking politicians' statements, media reports, and party propaganda.

A special series within the season will profile party leaders and analyze the narratives they present to the public. A key innovation is the launch of the "Fake Machine," an AI-powered tool accessible to viewers for checking the authenticity of visual content amid concerns about misinformation during the election period. Content submitted by viewers for verification may be featured and analyzed in the broadcast, highlighting selected fake materials.

The program will also debut a newly built studio with updated graphics, enabling live guest participation to respond to fact-checking results and share their perspectives. "From the Other Side with Guy Zohar" has been broadcast by the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation since February 2019 and has won the Israeli Academy of Film and Television award for Outstanding Current Affairs Program six times, including last year.
