Amid his wedding celebration in Hadera, Israeli groom Amit Elkobi spontaneously lifted Monrodi, the wedding hall cleaner, onto his shoulders during the dance floor festivities. The moment, captured on TikTok by user Daniel_meser, quickly went viral, amassing over half a million views and tens of thousands of likes. Speaking from his honeymoon in southern Italy, Elkobi, 26, explained to C14 that the gesture was inspired by values of respect and kindness instilled by his mother from a young age.

Elkobi recounted that the incident began when his wife shattered a glass around 1:30 a.m., prompting Monrodi to come clean the shards. Without planning it, he invited her to celebrate with him, emphasizing his wish for "unconditional love" to prevail, especially in today’s society. Despite language barriers, Monrodi speaks neither Hebrew nor English, the two connected through Google Translate, with Monrodi sending Elkobi a heartfelt Instagram message expressing her gratitude.

Elkobi highlighted that he views Monrodi with the same respect as he would the CEO or owner of the venue, underscoring the importance of honoring those often overlooked.
