Israeli Police Arrest Suspect for Major Car Lot Fire in Hebron Industrial Area

Israeli police have arrested a 66-year-old suspect in connection with a massive fire that broke out over the weekend at a vehicle lot in the Kiryat Arba industrial zone near Hebron. The fire raged for approximately 16 hours, causing significant damage to the site. A fire investigator determined the blaze was deliberately set, with the suspect igniting vegetation in an open area, which then spread to the vehicle lot. The suspect, a former employee of the site, was identified on footage carrying a lighter and tissues near the fire's origin points. Authorities believe the arson was motivated by the suspect's termination from his job. Police plan to request an extension of his detention as the investigation continues.
