Israeli Police Officers Indicted for Assaulting Three Young Men in Nazareth Area
The Police Investigations Department filed charges at Nazareth Magistrate's Court against three police officers and one volunteer from the Nazareth police station. They are accused of aggravated assault against three young men, one of whom was a minor at the time of the incident. The alleged assault occurred in April 2024 during a patrol shift near a square in the village of Kfar Moshad. The defendants noticed a vehicle carrying the three youths and believed they had been taunted by them. They ordered the driver to pull over, and when he complied, one of the accused approached the car and asked, "Who cursed?" Without waiting for a response, he struck one of the passengers in the face, dragged him out of the vehicle, and continued to beat him. Subsequently, all four officers allegedly punched and kicked the other young men as well.
