Israeli Singer Omer Adam Marries Sasha Israelovitch in Lavish Italian Ceremony

Israeli pop star Omer Adam, 32, and his partner Sasha Israelovitch, 24, celebrated their wedding on Wednesday at the historic La Cervara monastery in Portofino, Italy. The Jewish ceremony, held with partial gender separation, was attended by close family and friends who were flown in on a private jet for the extravagant event. Adam entered the chuppah accompanied by his parents and met Sasha, who wore a shoulder-baring wedding dress with a long veil. The bride, who promptly changed her last name on Instagram, smiled throughout the ceremony.

The couple was married by Chabad emissaries Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Hazan from Milan and Rabbi Mendy Gurevich from Mishmar HaShiva. Some guests joined in the traditional seventh blessing, recited by Oshri Cohen. The couple had previously signed their ketubah two days earlier in a smaller ceremony in a fishing village, witnessed by a limited number of family and friends.

A highlight of the evening was a surprise musical performance by world-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, who sang alongside Adam. The two had rehearsed secretly after meeting weeks prior. Bocelli is known for performing at high-profile weddings, including those of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West in Florence in 2014, and Courtney Kardashian and Travis Barker in Portofino in 2022.

The guest list included notable Israeli figures from the entertainment and sports worlds, such as Aviv Geffen and his wife Sharon Kaufman, as well as soccer stars Shay and Eran Zahavi. Adam’s grandfather Shmuel Adam and grandmother were also present. Before departure, guests heard a humorous recorded message from Adam’s father, Yaniv, advising them to behave appropriately given the aristocratic European family background of the bride.

The multi-day celebrations continue in Italy, where Israelovitch’s family resides. The lavish wedding at the historic monastery adds to the venue’s reputation as a favored location for celebrity weddings.
