In a related radio interview, Trump discussed the health of Iran’s leader Mojtaba Khamenei, son of Ali Khamenei, revealing he was severely wounded in an attack that killed his father but is still alive. Trump also commented on ongoing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, where U.S. forces continue operations against Iran. He noted that despite occasional drone or rocket attacks, the strait remains operational.

Separately, Iran and Oman reached a tentative agreement to establish a temporary seven-nautical-mile shipping corridor in the Strait of Hormuz, including a joint mine-clearing project. However, Tehran stated the strait would not fully reopen until the U.S. accepts Iran’s conditions.
