Iranian Official Announces More Footage of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei to Be Released Soon

The Iranian media continues to focus on the rare public appearances of Mojtaba Khamenei, the new Supreme Leader of Iran. A senior Iranian official, the deputy head of the Basij Enforcement Police, told the Mizan news agency on Sunday that additional footage of Mojtaba Khamenei in public and in meetings with commanders will be published in the near future. This follows the recent release of the first video of Khamenei since assuming his position, which sparked widespread speculation about his health and whereabouts.

Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared publicly or been heard in any recordings since taking office. According to reports, including information shared by Mossad agents with The New York Times, he is believed to be alive but possibly residing in an underground shelter beneath the mountains near Qom or Tehran. This has prevented the release of any audio recordings of his voice so far.

Meanwhile, in the United States, officials are reportedly preparing to declare victory in their campaign against Iran once maritime trade routes through the Strait of Hormuz are fully reopened. According to The Wall Street Journal, President Donald Trump has indicated in private discussions that he is willing to forgo signing a new nuclear agreement with Tehran, believing that intelligence capabilities and deterrence measures will prevent Iran from restarting its nuclear program.
