US Confirms Israel-Lebanon Negotiations to Resume in Rome This September

Washington expects all parties involved to adhere to the agreed framework. The spokesperson emphasized that the military coordination group for Lebanon will continue to ensure the successful implementation of initial pilot zones.
The official acknowledged that both Israel and Lebanon are democratic countries facing internal political pressures and recognized the challenges involved. They also noted that Hezbollah is attempting to disrupt the negotiation process. The spokesperson stressed that the pilot zone process remains the only viable path to achieving peace between the two sides.
