Israeli Securities Authority Warns Against Dubai-Based 'Trading King' Dmitry Osmolovsky
The Israeli Securities Authority (ISA) has issued a warning regarding Dmitry (Dima) Osmolovsky, known as the "Trading King" from Dubai, for allegedly managing investment portfolios without a license and directing investors to an unlicensed trading platform. Osmolovsky operates through the company Saving Capital and uses the aliases dimafx and dimfx0. According to the ISA, his activities may constitute illegal portfolio management and promotion of trading on the unlicensed GODO trading platform.
The ISA stated that Osmolovsky targets Israeli investors from abroad, offering portfolio management services and encouraging them to open accounts on GODO, which lacks ISA licensing. His outreach includes Hebrew-language advertisements on websites, social media, Telegram, and Discord groups. In a podcast from last year, Osmolovsky described himself as a day trader in forex, gold, crypto, and futures markets based in Dubai, claiming significant profits reinvested in real estate.
Osmolovsky’s promotional materials describe Saving Capital as an educational platform focused on responsible trading, risk management, and developing independent thinking, emphasizing that trading involves risks and is not suitable for everyone. The ISA noted that Osmolovsky’s Dubai location likely limits the authority’s ability to take enforcement actions beyond issuing a warning.
The ISA reiterated that portfolio management requires a valid license unless legally exempt and that promoting trading on unlicensed platforms is prohibited. Such unlicensed activities are not supervised by the ISA and lack investor protections. The authority urged the public to verify licensing status before engaging with financial services or investments.
