Motty Steinmetz to Perform at Omer Adam's Wedding in Italy

Israeli singer Omer Adam and his partner Sasha Israelovitch are set to marry this Thursday at a 14th-century Christian monastery converted into a luxury event venue in Portofino, Italy. The wedding has attracted significant attention, notably for the surprise inclusion of Hasidic singer Motty Steinmetz, whom Adam invited to perform during the ceremony due to his deep admiration for Steinmetz's music. Alongside Steinmetz, the event will feature various live performances, including an ethnic band, a likely international DJ, and a special concert by Israeli DJ Amit Agami and conductor Meir Briskman with a classical-electronic fusion orchestra.

The celebrations will span an entire week, beginning with a private flight for guests from Milan to Portofino on Tuesday morning, followed by a welcome party that evening. The wedding day will be divided into two parts with a strict dress code of elegant evening gowns and suits. The venue rental costs approximately 30,000 euros per night, with additional hourly fees, and includes 11 rooms requiring a minimum three-night stay costing around 150,000 shekels.

Due to the absence of a local Jewish community in Portofino, the couple plans to observe the groom's Sabbath in nearby Genoa, where there is an active Jewish congregation. The wedding is intended to be a relatively intimate affair with close family and friends, maintaining privacy throughout the week-long festivities starting August 23.

Omer Adam has paused new performances to focus on wedding preparations, aside from previously scheduled commitments like the NEXT festival and other booked shows. He is also not expected to join the Tamar Festival tour this year.
