IDF Reservist Stabbed Five Times in West Bank Attack While Traveling with Pregnant Wife

Elhanan, an IDF reservist, was stabbed five times in a terror attack near the village of Ouja in the Jordan Valley on Sunday morning. He was on his way with his pregnant wife to a family vacation in northern Israel to celebrate their wedding anniversary. According to his brothers, Shlomo and Yosef Hanania, Elhanan stopped to buy cigarettes when the assailant suddenly attacked him, stabbing him three times in the shoulder and twice in the back before fleeing the scene.

Elhanan's condition has stabilized, and he is expected to undergo surgery at Shaare Zedek Medical Center. His brothers called on security forces to apprehend the attacker quickly and expressed hope that he would receive the death penalty. They concluded with the statement, "The people of Israel live."

The incident highlights ongoing security challenges in the West Bank and the risks faced by Israeli civilians traveling in the area. Authorities are actively searching for the perpetrator as Elhanan recovers from his injuries.
