Otzma Yehudit Warns Left-Wing Government Would Confiscate Civilian Gun Licenses
Otzma Yehudit has launched a new election campaign video focusing on civilian gun licenses, warning against a potential policy reversal if a left-wing government comes to power. The video depicts a man in a central Israeli city cafe who hears cries of "Help, terrorist!" and rushes to intervene, only to realize he is unarmed. The party's message is clear: "If the left comes to power, they will take your guns!"
The campaign highlights the reforms led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, under which approximately 300,000 gun licenses have been issued to eligible citizens. Otzma Yehudit stresses that arming civilians has enhanced personal security and enabled armed citizens to neutralize terrorists during recent attacks. The party warns that this policy could be reversed if the left-wing wins the upcoming elections, potentially weakening civilian defense capabilities.
Otzma Yehudit calls on supporters to join their efforts to maintain the current gun licensing policy and prevent any rollback of civilian armament rights.
