Maccabi Haifa Confident Brazilian Midfielder Bronninio Will Prove Different This Season

Maccabi Haifa celebrated a 2-1 victory over Hapoel Ramat Gan in the league opener, with Brazilian midfielder Bronninio earning the most praise after scoring two impressive goals and showcasing excellent performance. Following the Toto Cup match against Hapoel Jerusalem, coach Barak Bachar held a conversation with Bronninio, emphasizing the importance of hard work off the ball despite his evident talent. Bachar expressed his appreciation for Bronninio's effort and stressed that hard work leads to offensive rewards.

Maccabi Haifa had pursued Bronninio since January, engaging in prolonged negotiations with both the player and his club, Karpaty Lviv. Although the signing was delayed due to the acquisition of Manuel Benson and Bronninio finishing the season in Ukraine, the club's sporting director Lior Rafaelov and coach Bachar insisted on bringing him in this season. They believed the team lacked a player with Bronninio's creativity and ability to energize the fans and connect the attack.

In his league debut for Haifa, Bronninio demonstrated why the club was so determined to sign him. Besides his two goals, he delivered several impressive through passes and created scoring opportunities, nearly scoring a third with a shot that hit the post. Haifa expects Bronninio to lead the team this season and continue producing strong numbers. A club source noted that when Bronninio has the ball, there is a high chance something significant will happen, and they hope he will inspire his fellow attackers as well.
