Babov 45 Holds Celebratory Ceremony Marking Completion of Gittin and Start of Kiddushin

A major Torah celebration was held in the Babov 45 court to mark the completion of Tractate Gittin and the beginning of Tractate Kiddushin, studied with diligence by members of the Hei Chayeinu study group of Babov 45 Hasidim. The event was dedicated in memory of the late Rabbi Moshe Meir Einhorn, described as an elder and distinguished Hasid who faithfully kept to the group’s learning schedule.

The keynote speaker was Rabbi Meir Zweibel, who praised Torah study and emphasized the importance of the Hei Chayeinu group in binding participants together for daily Gemara study. He urged the public to continue learning until the entire Talmud is completed.

The central figure at the ceremony was the Babov 45 Rebbe, who delivered the main address. He later extended blessings to the group’s director, Rabbi Gedalia Maier, and to the philanthropist Abraham Pinchas Berkowitz. The Rebbe also presented a special honor to Rabbi Shlomo Scharf, giving him a beautifully bound leather Gemara of Tractate Kiddushin in recognition of his support for Torah learning.

The evening concluded with enthusiastic singing and dancing in honor of Torah, and the participants left strengthened and motivated to begin studying the new tractate in the group.
