Mack Miller’s Team Releases Lost Track From Beloved Album Ahead of 10th Anniversary Edition

The team managing the legacy of late Jewish rapper Mack Miller released a previously unreleased song from his acclaimed album "The Divine Feminine" on Friday. The track, titled "Butterflies," is part of an expanded edition of the album set to be released on October 2, which will include three songs that were originally cut from the project. "Butterflies" had already gained some attention on social media, but this release gives it an official place within the album's framework.

Alongside the new tracks, Mack Miller’s official website was relaunched featuring interactive elements designed to offer fans access to unheard musical content. "The Divine Feminine," originally released a decade ago, is one of Miller’s most recognized works, featuring collaborations with industry giants such as Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, and CeeLo Green. The album is celebrated for its smooth, feminine tones and deep lyrical exploration of male-female relationships, highlighted by Miller’s distinctive lyricism.

The album’s song "Cinderella" recently experienced a resurgence in popularity, especially on TikTok, with many fans associating it with Miller’s former partner Ariana Grande. Another standout track, "2009," is known for its delicate piano and string arrangements and its storytelling of a romantic relationship.

Mack Miller’s career, though tragically cut short when he died at age 26 in September 2018 from an accidental overdose, was impactful. He released five albums, evolving his sound from light rap to a unique blend incorporating jazz, R&B, and soul. Posthumously, his music continues to be released, including the albums "Circles" in 2020 and "Balloonerism" in 2023, the latter recorded years before his death.
