MK Tzvi Sukkot Condemns Ben Gurion Airport Strike as Abuse of Thousands

On Thursday, MK Tzvi Sukkot visited Ben Gurion Airport to assist passengers affected by a severe strike that caused extensive flight delays impacting over 100,000 travelers and long queues at the terminal. During his visit, Sukkot sharply criticized the airport workers' union and its chairman, Pinchas Idan, accusing them of exercising unchecked power. He described the union's actions as "unbelievable bullying" and claimed they had previously disrupted the judicial reform and were now repeating such behavior. Sukkot emphasized that Idan fails to understand the limits of power within the Israeli state.

Sukkot announced his intention to act within the Knesset to reduce the influence of workers' unions, planning to promote this agenda in the upcoming parliamentary term. He highlighted that unions have obstructed reforms in the dairy sector and education system, asserting the need to combat these powerful entities and remind them who holds sovereignty. He pledged to reintroduce legislation aimed at curbing union power and restoring authority to the people in the next Knesset session.
