Mike Pence Says a Bad Iran Deal Is Worse Than No Deal

Former US Vice President Mike Pence criticized the agreement with Iran, saying that “no deal is better than a bad deal.” Speaking about Iran, Pence said, “I do not trust the Iranians.” He argued that until Iran gives up its nuclear program, dismantles its missile program, immediately opens the straits, and stops funding terrorist organizations across the region, it would be right to let the US armed forces finish the job.

Pence said he trusts President Donald Trump, but expressed concern about Iran’s intentions. His remarks were a broad rejection of any agreement that does not include, in his view, major Iranian concessions on nuclear, missile, access, and regional support issues.
