Netanyahu Assures Likud's Amit Halevi of Knesset Return Despite List Position
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with Likud MK Amit Halevi yesterday afternoon to congratulate him on his strong performance in the party's primary elections. Halevi significantly increased his support, receiving about 22,000 votes from party members, which elevated him from a district representative slot to 19th place on the national list. However, due to reserved slots and district allocations within the Likud list, Halevi is effectively placed at number 33. During the conversation, Netanyahu expressed confidence that Halevi will enter the next Knesset and continue his work, "one way or another," and thanked him for his critical efforts during the last term in service of the country.
