Jewit Launches AI-Powered Platform to Make Jewish Tradition Accessible Worldwide
A new digital platform called Jewit has been launched to connect artificial intelligence with Jewish tradition, aiming to make religious practices and knowledge more accessible in real time. The event brought together leading media figures, key players from the high-tech sector, and the rabbi of the Savion community to introduce the platform on August 19, 2026.
Jewit is available in four languages, Hebrew, English, French, and Russian, and offers a comprehensive suite of tools for daily Jewish life and the annual cycle of holidays. It features an interactive AI chat engine that answers halachic and traditional questions in clear, approachable language, suitable even for those without a background in Jewish law. The platform also provides practical guides on topics such as laying tefillin, affixing mezuzahs, building a sukkah, and beginning to observe Shabbat and kashrut.
Additional personalized tools include a dynamic Jewish calendar and a digital prayer book. Jewit also connects users to a network of over 1,000 rabbis worldwide, enabling real-time human interaction and guidance based on geographic location. Rabbi Bistritzky, summarizing the initiative, stated that the project represents an era where the gap between technological advancement and the heart of tradition has never been shorter, highlighting the shared desire across diverse communities to engage with their heritage simply and directly.
