Israel Receives US Green Light for Targeted Killings in Gaza Amid Rising Tensions

Israeli security officials have confirmed that the United States government under the Trump administration has given Israel a green light to continue its policy of targeted killings in the Gaza Strip. According to these officials, Israel now has freedom of action to thwart threats in Gaza and to act against militants who pose an immediate danger, plan attacks on IDF forces, or belong to the Nukhba unit. A security source also stated that Israel does not believe Hamas will disarm anytime soon, and until then, the IDF will continue to prevent threats without retreating from its established red lines or engaging in reconstruction efforts in Gaza.

Following this policy stance, Israel carried out two strikes in Gaza on the same day. In the Nuseirat refugee camp, a commander of a Nukhba unit who had entered Israel on October 7 was killed. Another strike targeted a Hamas police building in Gaza City, where militants were present. Reports indicate that several Hamas field commanders and the head of the organization's women's police unit were among the casualties. Gaza's Interior Ministry reported nine fatalities in the police station strike.

Hamas condemned the attacks, labeling them as war crimes, and called on mediators and Arab states involved in the agreement, especially the Trump administration, to take a firm stance against the escalation. Hamas demanded actions to halt violations and to compel Israel to adhere to agreements and enable the completion of the "Roadmap" plan.
