Ofer Winter Negotiates to Include Journalist Natali Shem Tov in New Party Amid Likud Talks

Ofer Winter is currently engaged in advanced discussions with journalist Natali Shem Tov about her potential candidacy in the new political party he plans to announce soon. This was reported on Wednesday evening by Kan News. Concurrently, the Likud party is also attempting to recruit Shem Tov, following their primary results which left only two women in realistic positions on their list. In response, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's circle has intensified efforts to bring her into Likud. Shem Tov, a former reporter for Channel 12 and Channel 13 news, is a resident of Metula who was evacuated from her home due to the recent war.

Additionally, it was reported that Eli Gino, a retired Brigadier General and former head of the Givati Brigade’s reserve staff, is expected to join Winter’s party. Gino and Winter are acquainted from their military service, where Gino commanded the brigade’s reconnaissance battalion under Winter’s command. Gino has not commented, while Winter responded with "patience." Yesterday, it was revealed that Winter plans to officially announce his party next week. He is also in talks with public diplomacy activist Yosef Hadad and Leli Deri, who lost her son Saadia in the war, though no agreements have been finalized.

In related political news, Nitzan Hendel criticized Amir Ohana’s new party as failing to approach the electoral threshold. Meanwhile, after being "ousted" by party members, Netanyahu is reportedly considering reserving a spot for Yuval Diskin on the Likud list.
