Hapoel Tel Aviv Coach Dimitris Itoudis Requests Salary Raise, Club Yet to Respond

Dimitris Itoudis, head coach of Hapoel Tel Aviv basketball team, requested a salary upgrade from the club several weeks ago, but as of now, his request has not been addressed and his contract terms remain unchanged. Itoudis initially signed a three-year deal worth 1.2 million euros per season. After leading the team to win the EuroCup and securing a spot in the EuroLeague, he received a new contract covering the current season and one additional year.

Despite meeting European competition goals by winning the 2024/25 EuroCup and reaching the EuroLeague playoffs last season, Itoudis has yet to secure any domestic titles with Hapoel Tel Aviv. The team reached four finals in the Israeli State Cup and playoffs but only advanced to one final, where they lost to Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Currently, negotiations between Itoudis and the club have not progressed toward opening or improving his contract. The coach continues under his existing agreement while the club considers whether to accept his salary demands or maintain the status quo.
