Eizenkot Says Northern Residents Were Left Exposed and Won’t Be Abandoned

Gadi Eizenkot, chairman of the "Yeshar! with Eizenkot" movement, said that what began as a "severe failure" and had unprecedented domestic and international legitimacy has now turned into the outcome of a failed government. He said there is a wide gap between the empty promises of an "absolute victory" and the reality of this morning.

Eizenkot said residents of northern Israel, who he said were abandoned for two and a half years, woke up to find that their homes and security remained exposed to threat and that their pleas again went unheard in Jerusalem. He vowed, "We will not leave them alone."
