Likud Prepares to Submit Final Candidate List for 26th Knesset After Primaries

Immediately following the conclusion of the Likud party primaries, the party is moving forward to submit its official candidate list for the 26th Knesset. Candidates ranked up to number 80 have been asked to complete and sign their candidacy consent forms within the next 24 hours. They can do so in person at the Likud faction room in the Knesset, by fax, or digitally through the government authentication system. Due to the Knesset's election silence period until September 2, only Knesset members can enter the building to sign, without their advisors.

Candidates must provide detailed personal information on the consent forms, including their profession and current workplace, and those submitting digitally or by fax must also send a copy of their ID and its attachment. After completing the digital signing, candidates are required to send confirmation to the faction team. The party clarified that the candidacy will be submitted under the name "Likud - National Liberal Movement."

This procedural step follows the internal party elections, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulating the winners and expressing satisfaction with the new list composition, which he says reflects renewal and the integration of new forces at the top of the list. The party is now focusing on the upcoming national elections, with the new candidate lineup finalized and ready for submission to the Central Elections Committee.
