Leading Israeli Rabbis Guide Historic Economic Conference for Haredi Community in Jerusalem

The upcoming Tebunah Economic Conference, set to open this Thursday at the Binyanei HaUma convention center in Jerusalem, marks a historic event for the Haredi community. For the first time, top economic experts and leading rabbis have united to provide practical financial guidance to Torah scholars and yeshiva students, addressing their unique economic challenges under the direct spiritual leadership of Israel's greatest rabbinic authorities.

In preparation for the conference, a delegation from the Tebunah organization, which offers year-round financial education to the Haredi public, visited the homes of prominent rabbis to receive their blessings and guidance. These rabbis emphasized, in video messages to be shown at the event, the critical need for clear Torah-based financial instruction, noting that many scholars struggle with wise investment and avoiding financial pitfalls.

The delegation met with distinguished leaders including the Belz Rebbe, the Sanz Rebbe, the Rebbes of Rachmastrivka and Nadvorna, Rabbi Dov Lando, Rabbi Moshe Hillel Hirsch, Rabbi Meir Tzvi Bergman, Rabbi Shraga Steinman, Rabbi Avraham Salim, Rabbi Yekutiel Abuchatzeira, and Rabbi David Yosef. Their blessings underscored the conference's importance as a "great mitzvah" and a sacred mission.

The conference will gather approximately 700 community leaders, top business figures, government ministry directors, and financial experts. It will feature professional sessions on growth engines, reducing economic disparities, smart family budgeting, complex financial challenges, and fraud prevention. A highlight will be the launch of the "Tebunah Index for Economic Resilience," a new tool designed to assess and strengthen financial stability among Torah families.

Additionally, the event will honor charity fund managers, community heads, and certified financial coaches for their dedicated work supporting families in need. Tebunah CEO Shlomi Perush praised their tireless efforts and announced a special recognition ceremony during a lavish banquet. The conference aims to equip participants with updated tools to lead their communities toward economic welfare and independence.
