Tehila Palik Levy, a U.S. affairs analyst and close associate of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, revealed in a Channel 14 broadcast that during a private meeting with Jared Kushner, Netanyahu referenced the October 7 attacks as "the worst day for Jews since the Holocaust." This comparison was made in light of Kushner's grandparents being Holocaust survivors. Palik Levy explained that Netanyahu's mention of this sensitive historical context was deliberate, aiming to underscore Israel's firm stance on Gaza. According to her, Netanyahu emphasized that Israel is unwilling to accept any deal or action that does not ensure its protection.

Palik Levy also addressed concerns that Israel's strong position might cause tensions with former U.S. President Donald Trump, who has expressed differing views. She noted that disagreements between close allies are normal and do not necessarily indicate a crisis.
