Big Shopping Centers Sees 47% Profit Surge as Israelis Flock to Malls
Big Shopping Centers reported a 47% increase in profit for the second quarter of 2026, reaching 366.3 million shekels, with mall occupancy at a full 100%. The company continues to expand its operations both in Israel and Europe, investing in new shopping centers. Under the management of Haim Galis, Big Shopping Centers earned 548.5 million shekels in the first half of 2026, down from 671.6 million shekels in the same period in 2025. This decline is attributed to the weakening euro and slower growth in real estate asset values during the quarter. Revenues for the first half of 2026 totaled 1.27 billion shekels, slightly lower than the 1.29 billion shekels recorded in the first half of 2025.
