Eli Cohen Leads Likud Primaries as Nir Barkat and Boaz Bismuth Battle for Final Spots
Approximately 40% of the votes have been counted in the Likud party primaries, with results from 206 out of 501 polling stations. Eli Cohen maintains a strong lead, holding about 1,400 votes more than his closest competitor, Yariv Levin, who is in second place. Amir Ohana is currently ranked third, trailing closely behind.
The candidates positioned within the top 16 are expected to secure realistic spots on the party list, which extends up to 26 places after accounting for reserved slots for party leader Benjamin Netanyahu and regional candidates. At the lower end of the rankings, a tight contest is underway between Nir Barkat and Boaz Bismuth for the last viable spot on the list. Additionally, there is competition between Eti Atiya and Gila Gamliel for the third female slot on the list.
