US Replaces USS Abraham Lincoln with USS George Washington to Sustain Pressure on Iran

President Donald Trump dismissed claims that the carrier had been deployed too long, and Esper denied reports about the situation onboard.

The carrier swap signals that the US is preparing for a prolonged campaign against Iran, maintaining a naval blockade aimed at pressuring Iran's economy. The strategy requires a substantial number of ships, supply chains, and thousands of troops stationed across the region. Reports suggest Iran has been delaying negotiations, forcing the US to keep a large military presence in the area.
