Retailors Reports Continued Decline in Same-Store Sales in Q2 2026
Retailors, a subsidiary of the Fox-Wizel Group, reported ongoing weakness in its sales during the second quarter of 2026. The company revealed that Nike Global, which has binding agreements with Retailors in 22 countries, has been assisting with operational expenses and providing purchasing benefits to help mitigate the impact on Retailors' profitability. However, the exact extent of Nike's support was not disclosed, leaving the underlying profitability unclear.
Nike's same-store sales continued to decline by approximately 9.5% in Q2, following a sharper 17.7% drop in Q1. Despite the slower rate of decline, Retailors has yet to return Nike stores to growth after six months. Nike segment revenues fell about 2% to roughly 409 million shekels, while operating profit dropped 38% to around 20 million shekels. This trend follows Q1 results where Retailors’ total revenues decreased from 526 million to 497 million shekels, and Nike’s segment recorded an operating loss of about 20.2 million shekels due to falling sales.
The sales weakness extends beyond Nike. Foot Locker’s same-store sales also declined by 6% in Q2 and nearly 10% in the first half of the year, despite overall segment revenue growth driven by expanded operations. This marks a second consecutive quarter of declines for Foot Locker, which saw an 11.7% drop in Q1.
Overall, Retailors reported total revenues of approximately 594 million shekels in Q2, a 1.3% decrease, with operating profit down by one-third to about 31 million shekels. The company posted a net profit of around 11 million shekels. While Q2 shows some stabilization compared to Q1, the downward sales trend persists.
Despite these challenges, Retailors is continuing to expand its Nike presence in Europe, particularly in Germany and France, expressing confidence in the brand’s strength and ongoing strategic collaboration. The company anticipates that Nike’s strategic initiatives will support future growth and continues to pursue expansion within the brand.
