Castro-Hodis and Renuar Partner to Launch Chinese Sports Giant ANTA in Israel

Castro-Hodis Group and Renuar Group, two competing fashion chains in Israel, have announced a unique collaboration to establish the Chinese sports giant ANTA's operations in Israel. ANTA, with annual sales of approximately $11 billion and around 10,000 stores in China plus 250 internationally, will enter the Israeli market through a newly formed subsidiary. Castro-Hodis will hold 51% of the shares, Renuar 39%, and Israeli Chen, a partner in ING, will own the remaining 10%. The partners plan to develop wholesale distribution, a retail store network, and an online sales platform in Israel, with an initial investment estimated at 30 million shekels. The launch is expected in 2027.

ING, half-owned by Renuar and previously the franchisee of Swiss sports shoe brand On Cloud in Israel, will transfer assets including stores, technology infrastructure, and showrooms to the new subsidiary, which will convert them to ANTA outlets. The subsidiary will acquire the sales rights and absorb some of ING's employees and infrastructure. Israeli Chen, who introduced On Cloud to Israel, will serve as CEO of ANTA Israel.

Castro-Hodis CEO Yair Ohayon expressed enthusiasm about the strategic partnership, highlighting the combined experience and deep market knowledge of the partners to build a strong foundation for ANTA in Israel. Renuar CEO Serge Deri emphasized ANTA's global stature and leadership in the Asian market, noting the brand's blend of fashion, technology, and affordability. He believes the partnership will create a strong and refreshing sports brand that meets Israeli consumer tastes and needs, marking a significant new opportunity for the Israeli sports market.
