Avner Netanyahu, son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, cast his vote at Heichal Shlomo in Tel Aviv during the Likud party primaries on Wednesday. Amid heightened political tension and intense media presence, Avner attempted to maintain a low profile, dressing casually in a black shirt and jeans and carrying a black backpack. Despite efforts by journalists, including Yair Altman, to engage him for comments, Avner declined to speak and quickly left the polling station.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, had already voted. The Netanyahu family’s participation underscores their involvement in shaping the Likud list for the upcoming Knesset elections. Avner’s reluctance to engage with the press aligns with his known preference for privacy.

The event took place as various Knesset members and candidates visited polling stations across Israel to vote in the primaries, which will determine the Likud party’s candidate list for the 2026 elections.
