Pinish Family Releases Decade-Old Emotional Song Ahead of Elul
The Pinish family has unveiled a heartfelt song titled "Not For Us" ahead of the Jewish month of Elul. The melody, composed by the family patriarch, was recorded about ten years ago but remained unreleased until now. Accompanying the song is a natural and authentic family video clip featuring genuine moments from their lives.
The family members shared that they grew up surrounded by their father's compositions, which became the soundtrack of their childhood, accompanying Shabbat meals, journeys, and quiet moments. The song was recorded with musician Eran Klein, capturing the voices of the father and all siblings, but was shelved for years.
The decision to release the song was inspired by the brother Yonatan during a family Shabbat gathering, when he suggested filming a simple, natural clip reflecting their true selves. The family sees the song's lyrics as especially meaningful in the days leading to Rosh Hashanah, expressing a sincere prayer and hope for unity and divine mercy, with lines emphasizing acting not for oneself but for a higher purpose.
