Ben Caspit Mocks Channel 14 Over Misidentification Controversy

Israeli journalist Ben Caspit ridiculed Channel 14 on Monday following a controversy about a video in which a woman was mistakenly identified as Yifat Tomer Yerushalmi. After doubts arose regarding the woman's identity, Channel 14 issued a clarification explaining that the woman was seen near the building where Tomer Yerushalmi lives, accompanied by a man resembling her husband, and that she closely resembled the former Peace Now activist and responded to the name "Yifat." Caspit seized on the channel's wording, sarcastically commenting, "You forgot something: you, Channel 14, are very similar to a television channel. But you are not one."

In response to the confusion, Channel 14 removed the video from all platforms and announced a reexamination of the footage. The channel stated that due to the doubts about the woman's identity, they decided to take down the report despite their initial explanations. This incident follows a notable error by the channel that sparked public criticism and prompted the removal of the content.
