Mansour Abbas: Ra’am Will Judge the Next Government by Arab Interests
Ra’am chairman and MK Mansour Abbas said after the election his party will assess the full political picture before deciding its next move. In an interview with the Hebrew-language TV channel Al-Hiwar, he said that if Ra’am concludes the next government is “less bad” than the Netanyahu, Smotrich and Ben Gvir government, Ra’am will give it a chance.
Abbas said that once the new government is formed, Ra’am will examine its performance from the perspective of the Arab community’s interests, and if the result is positive, the party will continue supporting it. He added that the guiding principle behind Ra’am’s political policy is the interest of the Arab society and the Islamic Movement.
He also said that alongside Ra’am’s readiness to join a coalition of a “change government,” he would like to see Ta’al and Hadash serve as a safety net for the next government that replaces Netanyahu’s government.
