Iran Condemns Israeli Strike in Dahiyeh, Says It Will Take Steps
Iran’s foreign ministry issued a condemnation on Sunday evening after the strike in Dahiyeh, which it said came in response to launches toward northern Israel. The ministry called the attack a “terrorist crime” and said it was not only a clear violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, but also a blatant breach of the November 19, 2025 ceasefire between Iran and the United States.
In its statement, Tehran said the Islamic Republic again condemns what it described as the Israeli regime’s aggression against Lebanon and Iran. It also said the United States bears direct responsibility for the actions of the “Zionist regime.” The ministry added that it “emphasizes the need to take all necessary measures to confront its ongoing acts of aggression.”
The statement did not specify what steps Iran plans to take next, but it framed the Dahiyeh strike as part of a broader pattern of attacks that, in Iran’s view, violate both Lebanese sovereignty and the ceasefire arrangement.
