Tzvika Mor Reveals Defining Moment During Controversial Kibbutz Meeting

Tzvika Mor, former chairman of the Tikva Forum, shared in a new podcast by the Tikva Leumit movement a pivotal personal experience since the outbreak of the war. Mor recounted a significant encounter with residents of Kibbutz Ramat Hashofet, a meeting that became a defining moment for him. Despite opposition from some locals who initially resisted his visit, around 55 people attended to hear him speak.

Mor, a leading figure in the Tikva Forum, a group of parents of hostages demanding the Israeli government not to yield to Hamas's demands and to maintain military pressure until the hostages are returned, explained that they faced harsh public criticism but persisted in voicing their stance nationwide. He emphasized their call to the Prime Minister to resist Hamas's demands and force the return of the children, describing it as a significant cause for the Israeli public.

Choosing to visit places where his views might provoke resistance, including kibbutzim associated with the Hashomer Hatzair movement, Mor highlighted the Ramat Hashofet meeting as especially meaningful. He described initial tensions before his arrival but was moved by the warm reception and the embrace he received, calling it the most emotional moment in two years. Mor reflected on the encounter as proof that open dialogue is possible even amid deep disagreements.

He concluded that people felt he was present for their thoughts and hopes for Israel to regain its former strength, underscoring the importance of such conversations in divided communities.
