Netanyahu Condemns Hezbollah for Violating Ceasefire After Israeli Soldiers Wounded in Lebanon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned Hezbollah for breaching the ceasefire in southern Lebanon, following a serious attack that left three Israeli soldiers severely wounded. The incident occurred when Hezbollah launched an explosive drone attack inside Israel's recognized border, known as the "blue line." Netanyahu stated that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) responded by striking the Hezbollah command center from which the attack was ordered, killing Ali Samir Al-Hajj Hassan, commander of Battalion B in Hezbollah's Radwan Force, along with other militants.

The prime minister emphasized that Hezbollah used civilians as human shields at the command post to falsely accuse Israel of targeting non-combatants. Netanyahu affirmed Israel's commitment to removing threats against its forces and civilians in all sectors, including Lebanon and Gaza, and vowed to act decisively against any aggression. The wounded soldiers, including an officer and two fighters from the elite Yahalom unit operating under the commando brigade, received initial medical treatment on site before being evacuated by helicopter to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.

This exchange highlights ongoing tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border, with Israel maintaining a policy of strong retaliation against any hostile actions by Hezbollah. Netanyahu concluded by wishing a speedy recovery to the injured soldiers and reaffirmed that Israel will not tolerate attacks on its troops.
