British journalist and TV presenter Piers Morgan sharply criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following the latter's comments about Britain and Iran. Netanyahu, during a conversation on Israeli Army Radio, suggested that "the first Islamic republic to acquire nuclear weapons would be the Islamic Republic of Britain," a statement that sparked outrage and strong criticism in the United Kingdom. Morgan shared a clip of Netanyahu's remarks on social media platform X, responding bluntly with the word "idiot."

This is not the first public clash between Morgan and the Netanyahu family. Yair accused Morgan of spreading a "blood libel" and giving a platform to antisemites, to which Morgan replied that Yair sounded "unbalanced" and invited him to appear on his show. Morgan also questioned why the Israeli Prime Minister had refused to be interviewed by him since October 7. Yair Netanyahu retorted by calling Morgan's program "the Nazi and antisemitic version of Jerry Springer."
