Joe Ingles Reflects on Winning EuroLeague with Maccabi Tel Aviv Before 12-Year NBA Career

Joe Ingles, the 38-year-old Australian basketball player, recently reflected in an interview on his career highlights, including his time with Maccabi Tel Aviv during the 2013/2014 season when he won the EuroLeague title. Ingles described his experience playing in Barcelona and then moving to Israel as unexpected, saying, "I never thought I would do something like this in my life." He credited his EuroLeague experience as crucial preparation for his NBA career, which began at age 27 and lasted 12 years.

Ingles emphasized that every stage of his journey contributed to his readiness for the NBA, calling it a "roller coaster" that took him around the world and through various cultures. Internationally, he earned a memorable bronze medal with the Australian national team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
