Religious soldiers in the Israel Defense Forces continue to face exclusion and disrespect, particularly during family-oriented events, according to recent complaints. A reservist shared his disappointment after attending a family event organized by the IDF in Jerusalem, where a theatrical performance featured performers dressed immodestly despite over half the audience being religious soldiers and their families. He described the event as well-organized with good food but criticized the main show as "shocking" and disrespectful to religious participants, calling for an end to the disregard shown by senior military officials.

The organization 'Women Warriors for the Sanctity of the Camp' highlighted this incident and urged the IDF to review event content beforehand until military leadership adjusts its approach. Another complaint from a reservist officer's wife described a recent commanders' retreat where 80% of families were religious Zionists, yet there were no separate swimming hours at the pool, the meat served was not kosher, and ice cream and refreshments were only available poolside, forcing religious women to fast if they wished to avoid waiting behind scantily clad women.

These incidents reflect a growing pattern of religious exclusion within the IDF's social and family events. Advocates hope the military will revise its policies to respect religious soldiers' needs and maintain the camp's sanctity both in combat and in ceremonial occasions honoring soldiers and their families.
