Northern Border Children Take Special Flight Over Galilee for Hope and Relief

The nonprofit organization "Ananim - Aviation for the Community" recently organized a special flight over the Upper Galilee for children evacuated from their homes along Israel's northern border due to ongoing conflict. The event aimed to provide these children, who have endured the hardships of war, with a moment of joy, empowerment, and respite above the breathtaking landscapes of the region.

The flight included former squadron commanders and volunteer pilots, such as Itai Turner and Dan Shayon, alongside Ananim's chairman, Shai Shimon, and local officials including Yaara Kadosh, CEO of the Upper Galilee Regional Council. Shai Shimon emphasized the pride and emotional impact of offering these children a unique experience to momentarily forget their difficulties and smile.

Volunteers highlighted the significance of seeing the children happy and carefree during the flight, describing it as the core purpose of their work. The initiative reflects ongoing community efforts to support those affected by the northern border tensions and contribute positively amid the challenging circumstances.
