Historic Breakthrough: Nadav Reissberg Wins the Green Jersey
Israeli cyclist Nadav Reissberg delivered a career milestone on Sunday by winning the green jersey at the Alpes Rhône, a prestigious warm-up race for the Tour de France that begins next month. Reissberg rides for NSN and has been in the points lead since the second stage in Puy de Val, holding onto the jersey through the end of the race.
He finished with 62 points, ahead of Spain's Raul Garcia on 46, confirming what the article described as the best form of his career. Reissberg had already shown his level by finishing in the top 10 twice during the French stage race.
The race, which was missing two of its biggest stars, Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard, was won overall by Isaac del Toro of UAE. The Mexican rider produced a late turnaround by overtaking Juan Ayuso, who ended up third, after winning the final stage in Brianson.
