IKEA Launches Limited-Edition Art Collection to Transform Homes into Galleries

IKEA is set to launch KONSTRUNDA, a limited-edition art collection, on September 1, 2026, aiming to blend functional home objects with artistic design. The collection features 22 pieces created by seven international artists and designers who reinterpret everyday household items into colorful, playful, and sculptural art objects. Prices range from 79 to 1,250 shekels, making art accessible and integrated into daily life rather than confined to galleries or museums.

The collection includes diverse works such as a glass table priced at 795 shekels, a ceramic orange sculpture for 175 shekels, and a black-and-white geometric rug costing 595 shekels. Swedish designer Lisa Hyland contributed organic-shaped pieces like a pine wood decorative stool and a ceramic sculpture that incorporates negative space. Interior designer Emmanuel Stamouli added minimalist black-and-white items including a geometric vase for 99 shekels.

Indian designer Akanksha introduced playful and humorous elements, such as a dented stainless steel bowl and a geometric block object with a mirrored cube reflecting the viewer, priced at 145 shekels. The textile offerings include colorful decorative pillows at 79 shekels, a bright blue furry wall rug for 295 shekels, and a 100% cotton rug with bold patterns priced at 1,250 shekels. Other contributors, Ingrid Lander and Igor Holterman, explore the boundary between art and interior design through vibrant graphics and bold patterns, including large floor cushions and colorful mirrors.

IKEA's KONSTRUNDA collection reflects the philosophy that art should be affordable and part of everyday living, allowing consumers to create personal, artistic home environments. The name KONSTRUNDA means "art tour" in Swedish, symbolizing a journey through different styles and perspectives on integrating art into the home.
