Alor Organization Launches Adventure Sports Boarding School to Support At-Risk Youth

The Alor organization has established an adventure sports boarding school aimed at rehabilitating at-risk youth through trust-building, mental resilience, and fostering a sense of belonging. The program uses outdoor expeditions, overnight nature stays, and challenging physical and mental activities to teach participants self-confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and values such as love of country, leadership, and giving.

Roman Har Nof, a boarding school instructor and reserve soldier, shared his experience of repeatedly leaving for military reserve duty since October 7, noting how difficult these separations are for the youths, many of whom have faced multiple disappointments and losses. He emphasized the importance of his dual role as both a soldier defending the country and a mentor helping these young people build better lives.

Har Nof described the boarding school as more than just a residence; it is a home where the youth learn to confront fears, trust themselves and their peers, take responsibility, and persevere through challenges. The program’s combination of adventure sports and field trips aims to empower the participants and support their rehabilitation journey.
