Health Ministry Shuts Down 'Oshi Oshi' Branch in Hadera Over Severe Hygiene Violations

The Israeli Ministry of Health issued an administrative closure order for the 'Oshi Oshi' restaurant branch located at 10 Prof. Shechtman Street in Hadera. The decision followed an inspection that uncovered multiple health violations posing risks to public safety. Among the issues found were poor sanitation conditions, dirty equipment and facilities, visible mold and rust, lack of paper towels and soap, and absence of hot water.

Inspectors also discovered fish stored at unsafe high temperatures, containers of pickled sushi rice prepared the previous day left out on a work table, and no separation between raw and cooked foods in work areas and refrigeration units, raising contamination concerns. Additionally, some food products had been refrozen after thawing, and others lacked proper labeling and traceability.

These findings prompted the Ministry to halt operations at the branch to protect consumer health and enforce food safety standards. The closure remains in effect until the restaurant addresses all violations and complies with hygiene regulations.
