Israeli Entrepreneur Employs Autistic Workers in AI Data Labeling Business, Influencer Mia Dagan Advocates Financial Independence
At 27, Israeli entrepreneur Tomer Gorovitz founded Point.AI six years ago without prior experience, creating a data labeling company for the AI industry that employs 24 workers on the autism spectrum, supported by the Shkullo Tov group. The company, based in Tel Aviv's Levontin neighborhood, earned second place in the 2023 "Small Business 16" competition organized by Bank Hapoalim, Yedioth Ahronoth, and ynet. Gorovitz emphasized that their business model integrates social values with profitability, offering meaningful employment that leverages the unique skills of autistic employees, such as high motivation and attention to detail. He noted the positive response following the competition's exposure and encouraged entrepreneurs not to fear failure, highlighting learning as part of the journey.
Influencer Mia Dagan, known for her strong social media presence with hundreds of thousands of followers, discussed her approach to online work and financial independence. She stated, "I am very proud to earn money from my work online; money means independence." Dagan also stressed the importance of financial transparency in relationships, sharing that before marrying her partner Uri Maor in October, they openly discussed their finances and debts. She recommended such conversations before marriage, likening a partnership to a shared business.
Dagan revealed she prefers investing in the stock market over buying property, aiming to educate her followers, especially women, about financial literacy. She believes influencers have social responsibility and that her presence as a plus-size woman offers representation and alternative perspectives. Both Gorovitz and Dagan embody models of combining professional success with social impact and personal empowerment.
