Legendary Israeli Band Tislam Appears in Yes Comedy Series Without Yizhar Ashdot

The iconic Israeli rock band Tislam appears as themselves in the new Yes comedy series "Bodeket," created and led by Gitit Fisher alongside actors Tzachi Grad, Sarit Vino Elad, Uri Albi, and directed by Yonatan Gurfinkel. However, veteran musician and band member Yizhar Ashdot is notably absent from the show.

Production sources gave conflicting explanations for Ashdot's absence. One cited personal reasons, while another explained it was a narrative choice: the character Eric, played by Tzachi Grad, is a guitarist meant to replace one of Tislam's guitarists, implicitly Ashdot. This made including Ashdot alongside the replacement illogical. A third source close to the band suggested scheduling conflicts as a possible cause.

No official statements have yet been received from Yizhar Ashdot or Yes regarding the matter. Despite the absence, the band’s participation adds authenticity to the series, which continues to progress successfully under its creative team.
