Chimaev Wins RAF Grappling Match, Then Huge Brawl Breaks Out

UFC champion and Chechen fighter Khamzat Chimaev faced American Dillon Danis in a wrestling match at a growing RAF event overnight between Saturday and Sunday, and the bout ended in the first round with Chimaev declared the winner. Their relationship had long been known as tense and volatile, and the night ended in the kind of eruption many around the ring seemed to expect.

Right after the match, Chimaev pushed Danis. Danis answered with a kick, and Chimaev fired back with one of his own, triggering a chaotic scene in the arena. The referee physically held Chimaev back to keep him from going after Danis.

Even though Chimaev did not continue the confrontation himself, members of both teams rushed into the ring and a mass fight broke out in the center of the cage area. The brawl drew in dozens of people and quickly spiraled into complete loss of control.
