Two Palestinian Men Killed and One Severely Injured in Crash on Highway 1 Near Metzada Junction
Two Palestinian men, both approximately 45 years old, died in a car accident involving two private vehicles on Highway 1 near the Metzada junction on Sunday. A third Palestinian man, also around 45, was seriously injured in the collision. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene and declared the two men dead. The injured man received initial medical treatment at the site before being transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, conscious but suffering from a head injury.
Senior MDA medic Yishai Mor and paramedic Eliyahu Shafir described the accident as very severe, noting that the two deceased men were found unconscious, without pulse or breathing, and with severe bodily injuries. Despite medical efforts, their deaths were confirmed at the scene. The third victim was given life-saving treatment and evacuated to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the second vehicle involved was unharmed and did not require hospital transport.
